New chapter of life

It has surely been a few hectic weeks or even months. The project I was on in Dublin are just about to go live, so especially the last two weeks have been extra busy, but i think we managed to get almost everything ready. What's not ready is out of our hands, and up to other people to solve :)

To make things even more stressful, I've just changed jobs. Not just a new project but completely new company. A recruiter approached me with a job i just had to see if i could land, and within a few weeks i found myself with an offer that's almost exactly what I've been looking for the last few years. Not only that, but the pay is much better too :) My new job is with Escalate Retail, where I'll be working with everything from pre-sales to project scoping/requirements specification to trouble shooting. I'll be able to use my full spectrum of skills instead of just some of them.

Why did I leave Allegro after only 10 months? I guess i realized that it would take me years to get the needed experience within the energy market to get a position similar to the one I've just changed to. I had originally planned to stay with Allegro for much longer, but as things worked out I chose to take the jump "back" into e-commerce/retail to take my career to the next level.

Anyway, I'm now in San Diego for two weeks for training, and are looking forward to my new challenges. This should hopefully be my work place for the years to come...
